What is Meta Tags Toolkit?
Meta Tags Toolkit is a free online tool that combines meta tag generation and analysis in one place. In Generate mode, you create SEO meta tags, Open Graph tags, and Twitter Card tags through a form with tabs for Basic, Open Graph, Twitter, and Robots. In Analyze mode, you enter a URL and the tool fetches the page, extracts meta tags, calculates an SEO score, lists issues and recommendations, and shows social media previews. A "Use in Generator" button lets you fill the generator form from analysis results. No account or signup is required.
The Generate mode includes quick presets (Blog, Product, Landing) that load sample values and generate tags. Tabs organize Basic (title, description, keywords, author, language), Open Graph (type, URL, image, site name), Twitter (card type, site, creator), and Robots (index, follow, content type, revisit). Character count badges show title and description length against recommended ranges. Live previews show how your tags will appear on Facebook and Twitter. The Analyze mode displays basic meta, Open Graph, Twitter, and other tags in tables with copy buttons, plus Facebook and Twitter/X social previews.
Who Benefits from This Tool
SEO professionals and marketers benefit from both generation and analysis. Generate optimized meta for new pages; analyze competitors or client sites to audit existing tags. The SEO score and issues list highlight missing or suboptimal tags. Use in Generator speeds up creating tags from an existing page.
Web developers and content creators benefit when building new pages or migrating sites. The generator produces ready-to-paste HTML. Presets (Blog, Product, Landing) provide starting points for common page types. The analyzer helps verify that deployed tags are correct.
Social media managers benefit from Open Graph and Twitter Card configuration. Proper OG and Twitter tags ensure links shared on Facebook, X, and LinkedIn display attractive previews with image, title, and description. The tool shows live social previews.
Key Features
Dual Mode: Generate and Analyze
Switch between Generate and Analyze via radio buttons. Generate mode shows the form with tabs; Analyze mode shows URL input and results. Both modes share Sample and Reset buttons.
Generate: Four Tabs
Basic tab: title, description, keywords, author, language. Open Graph tab: type, site name, URL, image, with enable toggle. Twitter tab: card type, site username, creator username, with enable toggle. Robots tab: index/noindex, follow/nofollow, content type, revisit-after. Character count badges for title (50-60) and description (140-160).
Analyze: SEO Score and Issues
Enter a URL; the tool fetches the page and parses meta tags. An SEO score (0-100) reflects presence and quality of title, description, viewport, OG tags, Twitter tags, robots, canonical, author. Issues list shows errors (missing title), warnings (length), and info (consider adding canonical).
Use in Generator
After analyzing a URL, click "Use in Generator" to populate the generator form with extracted values and switch to Generate mode. Edit and regenerate as needed.
Quick Presets
Blog, Product, and Landing presets load sample values and run generation. Useful for seeing the tool in action or starting from a template.

Tips & Best Practices
Keep title between 50-60 characters for search results. Keep description between 140-160 characters. Use unique meta per page; avoid duplicates across the site. For Open Graph, use an image at least 1200x630 pixels. Set og:type appropriately (website, article, product). For Twitter, summary_large_image works well for most content. Add a canonical URL when possible. Use the analyzer to verify deployed tags match what you expect.
Limitations & Notes
The analyzer fetches the page from the tool's server; JavaScript-rendered meta may not be fully captured. Some sites block automated requests. The SEO score is a heuristic; it does not guarantee rankings. Generated tags are standard HTML; you must paste them into your page. The tool does not store URLs or generated output.
